Meet The Teacher!
Ms. Hailey Rumbles graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Millikin University in 2019. She taught choir and music in public schools for four years before deciding to focus on the studio full time.
About The Studio
The studio opened in the summer of 2018 while Hailey was home on summer break from college, teaching lessons out of her home in St. John, IN. Upon graduation the following year, she continued to take on more private students on top of her full-time job as a Music/Choir Teacher. After four years in the classroom, Hailey left public education to pursue full-time private lesson teaching.

frequently asked questions
General Information
What ages do you teach?
Piano lessons are offered for students 5+, and voice lessons are offered for students 10+.
Where are lessons held?
We provide in-home lessons for clients in St. John, Cedar Lake, Crown Point, Dyer, & Schererville. We offer rotating group lessons in Highland.
What kind of piano do I need?
For piano lessons, an acoustic piano is always ideal — upright or grand. However, we understand that may not be possible for every family. Digital keyboards are a fine alternative if they are full-sized (88 keys) and have weighted/touch sensitive keys. We have a list of recommended keyboards on our Product Links page in the Parent Hub.
For in-home voice lessons, a keyboard of some kind is required, but a smaller keyboard will suffice.
Do you teach adults?
Yes! We have flexible daytime scheduling options available, and we love our adult students.
What are the benefits of music lessons for my child?
Music lessons have all kinds of benefits! Studies have shown that students enrolled in music programs, through school or privately, perform better in standardized testing than their non-musical peers. Alongside the educational benefits, music students also develop integral character traits through private lessons. Students learn responsibility, self-discipline, and the importance of hard work; but they also develop self-confidence and pride through the encouragement of their teachers.
Lesson Formats
How often are lessons held?
Most students take lessons once a week, though some advanced students excel with twice a week lessons.
How long are lessons?
Lessons are offered in increments of 30, 45, or 60 minutes.
How do group lessons work?
Our rotating group lessons are held in hour-long blocks. Within that hour, students rotate between their private 1:1 lesson, where they receive individualized instruction, and the Music Lab, where they play games and activities that reinforce the concepts they are learning in their private lesson.
Programs & Policies
Do you offer recitals?
Yes! We hold two recitals per year. We also encourage our students to perform at school and/or in local competitions.
Where can I find information about your policies?
Our policies are linked in the Parent Hub on our website!
Are lessons held year-round, or just during the school year?
Yes, lessons are held year-round! We offer flexible scheduling options in the summer for families with summer plans!
